UK Poetry Slam Champion Tyrone Lewis teams up with Writer and Director Kayla Martell Feldman to bring you PROCESS, a monthly Spoken Word night featuring some of the most exciting acts across the scene.

Complete with an open mic welcoming all, new and experienced, PROCESS is a showcase for what Spoken Word can be.

Open mic slots will be available on the door but you can also buy a limited Open Mic slot in advance – February’s event sold out so booking ahead is advised!

This month’s featured artists are  Bethany Down and Antonia Jade King.

Bethany Down:
Bethany is a Birmingham-bred actor, spoken-word artist, office monkey, occasional mixologist and part-time Avril Lavigne fanatic. Her poetry is a mix of brutal honesty and personal epiphany; expect tales of heartache, a foul mouth and zero prisoners taken. Her passion for blurring the lines between theatre and lyricism earned her a place at Monologue Slam UK and the April 2022 Genesis Slam title. Despite being a London virgin, she’s made her mark on the scene in the past six months with a staggering schedule of open-mics (don’t try to date her, seriously) and she doesn’t plan on stopping soon.

Antonia Jade King:
Antonia Jade King (she/her) is one of the hosts of Boomerang Club, and a previous Hammer & Tongue finalist. She has featured at Poetry and Shaah and Heaux Noire and was part of Apples and Snakes Writing Room programme in 2018. She has performed at numerous events including Love Supreme festival and Rallying Cry at Battersea Arts Centre. She was also a Barbican Young Poet and her debut pamphlet ‘She Too Is a Sailor’ is out with Bad Betty Press.

Please be aware that there’s only one entrance to the venue and there are 20 stairs and no lift. We also have a no pets policy in the venue (sorry furry friends) and the venue is strictly over 18s past 9pm.
