Welcome to our monthly flamenco night featuring a varied line-up of some of London’s finest musicians, singers and dancers.

Noemí Luz was apprentice to maestra Yolanda Heredia for 6 years in Seville and is an instructor of her bata de cola training method which has been used by artists such as Belén Maya and Rocío Molina. Together they teach Bata de Cola masterclasses in Seville, Spain. Noemí is also Co-Artistic Director of Dotdotdot Dance, creating award-winning shows such as No Frills (Festival Flamenco y Mestizos, Madrid) and In Body (Originally Commissioned and produced by Sadler’s Wells). She has performed as a soloist in well known tablaos in Spain and on CanalSur TV, the BBC and RTVE as well as countless festivals in Spain, the UK and internationally. Through her choreographic work she looks to bring a human perspective to complex issues in order to understand them better, centering around the environment and female identity as core themes. Noemí investigates ways of giving physical form to the intangible, embracing dance as a poetic language capable of embodying the present moment, illustrating the times we live in and addressing the issues we face.

Mónica García became pasionately involved in flamenco at an early age, growing up in “Frailes” a small village at the south of the town of Jaén, where the best olive oil in the world and the Andalusian zephir from their mountains nurtured her voice. Mónica was a prominent student at “Locura Flamenca” academy, later becoming involved in traditional and modern dance and music groups, that’s how, albeit her young age, this soulful singer will surprise and delight flamenco aficionados and neophytes alike. A new found treasure for the U.K. flamenco scene.

Adrián Solá Trained as a flamenco guitarist and studied music theory and flute at the School of modern music in Badalona. He furthered his development attending master classes with guitar virtuosos Zsolt Hernandi and Rafael Cañizares. Since moving to the U.K. he has become a much sought-after accompanist, working regularly with established London based flamenco dancers and singers. In an ensemble or as a soloist Adrián is a versatile and adaptable musician, he plays flamenco master pieces as well as his own compositions with gusto.
